I have med brown hair ,i have highlighted mine myself for 15 yrs,i also color and highlight other peoples hair,try caramel it is not too light it will look natural with your hair color ,note that if you have colored your hair ,if you are doing it yourself ,get highlights for color treated hair ,if it is vergin hair ,you dont have to be concerned with that ,ask a well known cosmotologist,in your town ,i think the shade you get is ,up to you,but i undrestand that you want other peoples opinions,if you try caramel ,and its not light enough for you ,you can always,highlight again,with a lighter shade,wait at least 2 weeks or 1 mnth ,before you proccess your hair again,what ever you do dont pick any thing that says ASH blonde it lookes grey . If you are going to a salon get it color weaved ,they can add more than one shade ,highlights and color . multi colors of similar shades looks very natural.thats all ,,lots of luck!!!!!!!!!

well my sister put gold blonde and dark brown and it was really cute.

Get Blonde but have it toned w/ a cafe au lait toner. I'd also add a darker brown lowlight. It adds dimension to your hair, %26amp; looks pretty sweet.
