Idk if my mom is really gonna go for them but i want to get some aqua highlights in my hair. 1st of all, do you think that would look good with brown hair, and where could i get it done?

I own two salons http://www.MauiSalons.com and we always get people in our salon who need their hair fixed after they had it done at a friends or familys house. Though highlights kits are sold in the stores, it takes practice to get it right (which is what really happens at your friends or familys house, they are PRACTICING on you!). PLUS, the big factor is that you are only 13 and your hair is not fully developed yet. Your hair may not highlight the way that you want it to. The hairs that you do highlight may become brittle and break off at the root because your hair is not mature enough. It takes years of growth to achieve strong healthy follicles and roots. I'd say it would be safer if you waited till you were 15 or 16.





I know that it may seem ';cool'; and you may have seen other kidsyour age do it, but what really isn't cool, is if you have short bald spots or spikey hair where the highlights broke off. Go to a professional salon, they will be able to tell you if your hair is mature enough or if they have a highlighting product that would be safe for your particular hair.
