What color highlights look best in a dark brown almost black hair ?

well i am 14 years old and have dark brown almost black hair and my mom is a hairstylist and she said i mite b able 2 get highlights next year 4 high school but idk wat 2 get lots of dark browned hair people have blonde highlights but i want something a little more original More natural but i want it 2 show (plz provide me wit pictures if u can) and (plz dont say i am to young 2 have highlights)What color highlights look best in a dark brown almost black hair ?
Blonde highlights in very dark hair look unnatural and cheap! Good call not getting those! Auburn (reddish medium brown) highlights look classier and more original. Or try three different brown tones (auburn chestnut and light brown) that will give you dimension. What color highlights look best in a dark brown almost black hair ?
try caramel or a lighter brown maybe even red and seeing that your mums a hairstylist she should be able to use more than one colour like for example you get different shades of light brown and that will make it look more natural.


or you could even change your whole hair color to a Chocolate brown maybe and add honey brown/caramel highlights and low lights in it.
i have really dark brown hair and i once got red highlights. not like red red, but like a brownish red color. i got alot of compliments for it so i feel pretty confident it looked good
