What color highlights for black hair?

my hair is long and black....by accident...but anyways...I want some color added in to it...thinking about red highlites but I dunno....blonde wont look good im afraid.....and brown errr....any suggestions?What color highlights for black hair?
dark brown is the perfect combination of black and brown color (only visually). So go for that one and you would look amazingWhat color highlights for black hair?
my best friends hair is black and she had like reddish orange highlights. they looked really good. shes korean and most korean people with black hair get that color highlight.

Light blonde (near platinum) doesn't look bad, imo. But I love unnatural colors.





But those fade and end up looking really ugly. So you need to keep up with dying them. I had to redye my highlights every 1-2 times I washed my hair.





I've had almost all colors, and my favorite has been hot pink. If you have good dye, pretty much any color like this will look good.

they would add like a shine to black hair
Deep violets, reds or blue. They would all look very good with black hair. Stay away from blonde or brown they tend to look tiresome or unsuitable after a while. Darker stronger colours.
red sounds good, but not a really bright red. bleagh!

yeh i had red wine coloured highlights wen i had black hair looked hot:) got loadza compliments:) dnt do flaming reddd look horrible well it did on me anyways...
Red in my opinion won't look good..Black is a tricky colour I would say dark brown...or just brown, pick a nice shade and your hair will look totally new and improved and very up to date!

light brown because my friends got the same thing and i think that she looks way better than before
Chocolate brown. Don't do blonde, you will look like a tiger, and red will not show well.
There are new intense highlights. I saw someone with black hair and violet highlights. It looked amazing!

Definitely not blonde. I knew a girl who did that and it looked terrible. A dark red might be cute or a brown.

u shud get light brown if ur asian...well unless ur not asian then nevermind....
