Has anyone dyed light brown hair with blonde highlights into a dark brown/black color on their own?

i wouldnt like to try it !!! i have a lightish browny blond hair and my advice would be to get a hairdresser to do it so it goes right

you may spend a lil extra cash $$ but its better than hating your hair...
