For the most natural looking highlights- you want to get 5 shades of colors all closely related- and you want to stay pretty close to your natural- you also want to now if you want thick strands of color of just thin streaks- how many and how thick of each shade- and if you want more around your face ( which I recommend because you don't notice facial flaws as much and it gives a summer feel and makes you look tanner for back to school- everyone will think you spent the summer on the beach!! Oh that one is so fun!!! A dark red brown will really bring out the color of your hair, look sexy ,and give it a flirty sassy look!! i do cosmetology and it is very common for gurls to get blond highlights in their hair. i love the dark or light brown hair with blond highlights. you have to do thin ones though... big thick ones look bad... in my opinion... go with little blond highlights! itll look good. i love blond with brown hair!

Not blonde...it looks to fake. Try colors like a little lighter brown than your natural hair color. Or go with the first posters idea, copper.
Get blonde high lights but for a cool effect add in some low lights :)
