What color of highlights would look good with dark brown hair?

I have medium/dark brown hair, I'm looking for a exotic kind of highlights like getting the bottom of my hair dyed black or maybe like lime green streaks? I have blonde highlights in my hair right now AND I HATE THEM SO MUCH so thats why i'm dying my hair dark brown. NO hate comments or rude thanks so much!What color of highlights would look good with dark brown hair?
Purple is awesome, and it looks natural until natural sunlight hits and then it's like POW!





I suggest a deep deep blue or a medium blue, along with a purple. it would be cool, subtle, but still very ';exotic';.





black is...well, skunky. It's very 2003 Nichole Richie, and lime green is a bit too extreme. Stay within the reds, purples, and deep blues and you'll get a cool subtle and wicked effect.What color of highlights would look good with dark brown hair?
i would normally advise a more natural look, but since you threw the lime green in there i can tell you dont like that look. so to compromise i would say red or plum highlights. or die it all plum and get bright red highlights. not ronald mcdonald red, but red. my friend did black on the bottom and red on the top. it looked pretty different and i liked it.
I have dark brown hair and had purplish/red highlights for a while and they were really cute! It's not as extreme as the lime green highlights you're considering though...
