My natural hair color is a light brown, I just had blonde highlights put in about two months ago.?

I hate it. My roots are starting to show. I was wondering if I get a dark brown hair dye, or black, and dye my hair back dark, if it will effect my highlighted hair at all? I heard it will turn ugly colors. I just recently moved to Japan and I'm still not sure about the salons here so I wanted to buy a dye from a store. Any suggestions? ThanksMy natural hair color is a light brown, I just had blonde highlights put in about two months ago.?
Don't dye your hair black. If you think you hate the roots now just wait! It doesn't fade and you can't color over it. It's better to either let your highlights grow out or get your hair highlighted/dyed at a salon. I've never been one of those people that dye their hair at home and it looks great, I'll never dye my hair myself again. My natural hair color is a light brown, I just had blonde highlights put in about two months ago.?
black hair dye usually has a blue or purple base,

so if you dye blonde streaks black they will usually go blue - ish colour,

(i found out the hard way)

if you want to go a darker brown or black

i suggest you dye your hair red first and then but the black or brown in.

yes sounds weird but it works!
I went black also (i had the same color as yours)

but i didn't like the growth.

Honestly you notice it more cause it's you

but people actually dont care.

If you really like it just get your roots done at a salon ...good luck.
It does turn it a funky color. I suggest looking around the net and checking out the best hair places. Or ask some people there in Japan.
