if your hair is black, lemon juice turns it orange-ish.


if your hair is a brown color, it's totally fine.


it will give you a highlighted look and will look natural.

I don't think lemon juice is strong enough to lighten very dark hair.
I did the same thing I have black hair and now it has a rusty brown tint to it it's neat
