how bout coloring it auburn with some chunky blond highlights.
If you want to keep the chocolate brown I would recommened putting a nice shade of blonde as highlights and a lighter shade of brown as lowlights, they compliment eachother nicely.

i would get high and low lights to make it seem more natural just a light brown and a little darker then yours is now or just 2 differant colored highlights like a little lighter brown and a dark blonde. so it dosnt look fake and looks nice.
